Kartell Foliage Chair by Patricia Urquiola. Dialogue between natural and artificial reality,
- Foliage is a seating family created purposely for residential use with the characteristic graphic hallmark of Patricia Urquiola. A series of pieces that look as if they had grown naturally where the leaves form a crest resting on the frame made of virtual branches that form a seat.
- The collection consists of a three-seater sofa with a great personality and characterised by a soft seat with quilted stitching and a smaller comfortable armchair.
- The quilting covering the whole surface including the back is most striking and can be seen from any angle in the living room.
Seat: foam stuffing fabric covered polyurethane
Fabric: Trevira - 100% polyester Trevira, Cloth - 100% pure virgin wool .
Legs: iron tubes epoxy polyester coated.

Patricia Urquiola was born in Oviedo, Spain, and currently lives and works in Milan. She studied at the faculty of Architecture at the Madrid Politecnico and at Politecnico di Milano, where she graduated in 1989. From 1990 to 1996 she served as assistant professor to Achille Castiglioni and Eugenio Bettinelli at the Politecnico di Milano. During this time she has also led the product development department at DePadova, where she designed together with Vico Magistretti. In 2001 she opened her studio of product design, display, and architecture. She has worked with leading manufacturers. Urquiola has received prizes including Designer of the Year, Elle Decor International Design Awards, Chicago Athenaeum Good Design Award, and the Design Prize Cologne. Award, and the Design Prize Cologne.
