KAISER idell is original Bauhaus design. The series is based on a world-patented swivel joint and the characteristic dome embossed with ”ORIGINAL KAISER-idell”.
The lamps are made of steel and brass and the lampshades are handpainted in high gloss or matt (only available in black). The chrome-plated elements consist of polished and silver-soldered brass. The wall lamp, also called scissor lamp, comes in black.

All lamps are CE marked, which means that they meet EU safety, health and environmental protection requirements (such as Wee and RoHS).
The Kaiser Idell lamps (with the exception of the model 6718-W) also has UL certification, which applies to the US market.

Christian Dell was one of the designers who played a major role in shaping what we know as the Bauhaus style. In 1926, Dell began to draw lighting fixtures for the lamp factory Gebr. Kaiser & Co., which was the beginning of the first catalog was launched in 1936 when the table lamp model 6631 Luxus appeared for the first time. This lamp soon became the undisputed top model of the KAISER idell™ series and was then as well as today, the symbol of noble Germanic design, exclusive materials and precise technique. The term "idell" is a reference to the word idea and his surname, Dell. "Kaiser" is a reference to the original manufacturer - KAISER idell.
