<p>Chastine Lavoie (b.1996) is educated in Design and Business with a specialization in Furniture Design, and currently lives in Aarhus. The young designer creates designs with inspiration from life's daily chores, and does so with an awareness of not being self-fulfilling, but by listening to outstanding needs and therefore having a humble and analytical approach to the design process. Down to the bone, contrasting and functional, this is how Chastine describes the characteristics of her designs - it is important that aesthetics and functionality meet in the final design language. Chastine Lavoie's first design in collaboration with FDB Møbler is the Sønderup stools, which have been designed in a construction with refined simplicity that contributes to the stools' greater functionality.</p>
