Who are you, anyway?

Fair question. is a creation of Hans Elias and Claudia Kirchuk. We live in Belgium (20 minutes from The Netherlands) together with our two kids: Alexander and Sebastiaan. We started selling Modern Design in our shop in 1992 and through our web site since September 2000. Claudia has a commercial background and Hans a technical background. Our shop is based in The Netherlands.

We are both very committed to make your shopping experience with us as good as it gets.

Where is your warehouse, how can I contact you?

Our warehouse is in Breda, The Netherlands. It is in the south, one hour drive from Amsterdam (on a Sunday morning). When ever you are in the neighborhood please drop by.

Why are your prices displayed in 2 currencies?

Our prices are in Euro because we're a Dutch company. You will be charged in Euro by your bank or credit card company like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Solo, Eurocard, PCB and Switch, etc. The second currency displayed is the conversion to your local currency based on the exchange rate of the day. The exchange rate is refreshed twice a day. The exact amount in your local currency depends on the time your payment is charged. The rate displayed on our site is only an indication.

Returns Policy

In the unlikely event of loss or damage to your shipment, will supply free of charge replacements or a refund, as appropriate.

Claims must be made within 8 days of receipt. We may request a photograph or return of goods to substantiate the claim.

You may cancel your order in writing within 30 days of receipt of your goods, for a full refund of the purchase value, provided the goods are returned to us unused, in good condition and in the original packaging. Items specially made to your specifications or imported by us on your behalf are not returnable. Shipping charges (which are a separate and additional contract) and customs duties are non-refundable, and return shipping charges are the responsibility of the purchaser.No returns allowed on special orders or clearance items.

Can you mail me a catalog?

Sorry, no. We don't mail out paper catalogs. We constantly add new products to our site so a catalog would never be up to date. is both our shop and our catalog. We've worked very hard to make it pleasant and convenient for both purposes.

Do you offer a trade or volume discount?

We offer discounts to members of the trade such as designers, architects and contractors who have presented appropriate credentials and have been approved. In addition, we may be able to offer special discounts for large volume orders.
