Robert Kasal
Robert Kasal worked in the office of architects Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Neilsen in the 1960s where he assisted in the development of many of the Le Klint models that went into production. After returning to the United States he designed additional Le Klint lamp models under his own name. "Working in those years with Hvidt and Mølgaard was a wonderful education."
Robert Kasal taught product design and served as chair of the Department of Art & Architecture at Portland State University in Oregon for thirty years. He has written articles on design for newspaper and magazine publication, among them Dansk Kunsthåndværk and American Craft. In retirement he turned to the study of Native American Art and serves as research associate at the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
