Ferdi Giardini
Giardini, Ferdi was born 1959 in Turin, where he lives and works, Ferdi
Giardini is first of all a talented sculptor with an impressive row of
exhibitions in Italy and abroad. The approach to design comes after various
experiences concerning the design and set-up of theatre scenographies made of
many different materials (in particular wood, paper and foam-rubber) and
construction of models of architectural projects. In 1995, under the pseudonym
of Emilio Giar, he takes part to the design exhibition "Dal cucchiaio
all'automobile" (From the Spoon to the Car) at the Automotive Museum of Turin,
exhibition that has then moved to Stuttgart, Amsterdam, Chicago. His last work
is the fan lamp Blow for Luceplan.
