Qeeboo

QEEBOO: IL DOLCE STIL NOVO During the 14th century, a small group of young poets from Florence (Guido Cavalcanti, Guido Guinizzelli, Lapo Gianni, Dante Alighieri, Cino da Pistoia) were the first to stop the Middle Age with its dogmatic and useless theologies in order to talk about Love, about Women (which may have never even existed, just like Petrarca’s Laura), about their diversity from the Byzantines, becoming witnesses of a generation without a clear destiny… By inventing the Women, they also invented the New Men. Dante, the Father, coined for them this magical name, which changed not only poetry but also the history of the world… As a matter of fact, all great things always come from little ones, apparently useless and redundant; from a title and sometimes by chance. The Dolce Stil Novo of Design is founded on a figurative and narrative matrix, completely different from the one of the commercial markets, but maybe even more invasive than that, herald of a new feminine and masculine sensitivity: less testosterone, more irony, more simplicity. An innocent Design and therefore braver.

Petite Friture

PETITE FRITURE, design editor created in 2009, was born with the will to promote young talents, and to develop with them a collection of objects, lighting and small furniture that creates a vibration. The result are elegant and accessible objects that in a simple and uninhibited manner tell a story; objects that understand our daily life and invite us to savor it.

Bent Hansen

DESIGN AND CRAFTSMANSHIP THROUGH 3 GENERATIONS At Bent Hansen we make it a point of honour that the quality of the craftsmanship and the materials shines through, and that our furniture expresses the simplicity and honesty that is forever in fashion. CEO and designer Henrik Hvid Hansen is the innovative force behind the company Bent Hansen. Surrounded by qualified craftsmen, he has the best opportunities to try out new ideas and test different kinds of leather and textiles. Through it’s 60 years of experience the company Bent Hansen has always considered solid workmanship of great importance. Back in 1948 Henrik Hvid Hansen’s grandfather, upholsterer Svend Hansen, founded the company. Back then the key competence was restoring old furniture. In 1967 Svend Hansen’s son, Bent Hansen, took over the company. He expanded the business and started manufacturing interior for restaurants, hotels and ships. In 1983 third generation, Henrik Hvid Hansen was ready to enter the family company. As an upholsterer like his father and grandfather before him and deeply fascinated by modern design Henrik has turned Bent Hansen into a modern design company with its own line of furniture design and home accessories.

The present and the future of Slide is the constantly research for innovation. Slide is always looking for new materials, as the introduction of soft and rigid polyurethane, and it is looking for new shapes, thanks to the collaboration with some of the most famous designers of the world, as Alessandro Mendini, Paola Navone, Stefano Giovannoni, Marcel Wanders, Karim Rashid and Marc Sadler.
