Moooi was founded in 2001 by Marcel Wanders and Casper Vissers and is named after their native Dutch word for beautiful – the third ‘o’ in the brand name stands for an extra value in terms of beauty & uniqueness.
In addition to Marcel Wanders’ designs, the Moooi portfolio contains a range of work from other nationally and internationally recognized designers. The collections style is exclusive, daring, playful, exquisite and based on the belief that design is a question of love. Moooi takes pride in producing timeless objects of beauty which posses the uniqueness and character of antiques combined with the freshness of modern times.
With this unique and iconic mix of lighting, furniture and accessories, which outlast everyday interiors, Moooi creates interior environments decorated with an inspiring variety of patterns and colours to embrace any kind of space.
Seattle, Washington, 2008. The Graypants design studio was founded by architects Jonathan Junker and Seth Grizzle (and joined later by close friend, Jon Gentry) as a way to get back to what they'd originally loved about architecture: design, drawing and making things by hand.
BLOOM! Pot, designed in 2001 by Rob Slewe and brought into production in 2003, is a good example of this aim. Since 2003 our collection has expanded substantially. The in+outdoor collection increased with models such as BLOOM! Pill, BLOOM! Bulb and a special edition of the original BLOOM! Pot: BLOOM! Xmas pot.
Jacob Jensen Watches
Industrial designer Jacob Jensen founded his studio in 1958 and over the following decades developed the form language that changed our view of how Hi-Fi systems, telephones, watches and many other products can look. The contribution made him one of the most recognized designers with a vast number of prizes and exhibitions, including a solo exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
Verpan is - much like Verner Panton - a product of the Danish design tradition, which have put Denmark on the world map for functional, modern and unique design.
In close collaboration with the Panton estate - especially widow Marianne Panton - Verpan has acquired the production and sales rights to a significant part of Verner Panton’s designs. In 2003 the production of lighting was initiated and in 2010 a furniture range was added. A continuous process of picking and choosing products from the vast treasure chest of Pantons work, will bring many more items to life again.
All of the Verpan products stand out as some of the most elegant and memorable of Verner Panton’s designs. Products that create life, sound, movement, colour and light - design that bring value into the visual world around us.
