Moooi

Moooi was founded in 2001 by Marcel Wanders and Casper Vissers and is named after their native Dutch word for beautiful – the third ‘o’ in the brand name stands for an extra value in terms of beauty & uniqueness. In addition to Marcel Wanders’ designs, the Moooi portfolio contains a range of work from other nationally and internationally recognized designers. The collections style is exclusive, daring, playful, exquisite and based on the belief that design is a question of love. Moooi takes pride in producing timeless objects of beauty which posses the uniqueness and character of antiques combined with the freshness of modern times. With this unique and iconic mix of lighting, furniture and accessories, which outlast everyday interiors, Moooi creates interior environments decorated with an inspiring variety of patterns and colours to embrace any kind of space.

Driadekosmo

Driade was born in '68, some decades ago, in the same period as the trends that would have characterized the twentieth century: both the rigor of geometric and rational design and , on the other hand, the recovery of pop art and its influence on pop and radical design. Today, the "design landscape" is quite different, permeated as it is by the globalization and all- embracing digitization. To understand Driade, you should visit its headquarters in Fossadello, near Piacenza. I had been there often in the past but, I haven't come back for a long time. Seeing it again helped me to understand what it might be an "aesthetic laboratory" (as Driade likes to define itself) in these early twenty-first century. It would be useful to organize your path along the central hallway which goes through the building, a clear and rigorous sign, an architectural promenade on which offices and rooms, elegantly furnished, overlook. At the end of the walk you'll find a large room marked by high photographic panels representing the park of Würzburg castle, in Germany: a winter garden nestled in an endless time.

Leff Amsterdam

The fact that the Dutch word ‘lef ’ is derived from the Hebrew word for heart and their studio is located in the heart of amsterdam was not the only reason why brothers Arno and Dennis Ruijzenaars and designer Erwin Termaat named their brand LEFF amsterdam. More important to them was that the Dutch meaning of this word stands for doing something that others don’t dare to do, like pushing boundaries and going against the grain. Because who in the world would start making clocks these days, while time is all around us?Arno: “Well, we would. Because we think clocks are amazing products; they are technical instruments and can be art pieces at the same time. But most of all, because nobody really needs a clock. This challenges us even more to create something beautiful that everyone wants to have.
