Mal

Mal is a young Dutch, Eindhoven based design label by Bob Copray and Niels Wildenberg. Mal is inspired by the icons of the past that have influenced our way of looking at the world today. By placing the icon into a new context a whole new product has arised. After the Lounge set 1956, the 2.25 meter high lamp Lummel and the cushion set Killing me Softly, Mal now comes with the carpet Yeswecan, the exclusive MalClock Chamber NYC and the charming Sweater. The products of Mal are cool to use indoor but some of them are also suited for domestic exterior use.

Nanimarquina

Driven by a singular desire and a very creative background, Nani established nanimarquina in 1987 with a clear goal: to design unique and surprising handcrafted rugs for people to enjoy. The idea of blending contemporary design to traditional rugs was well received and soon nanimarquina embarked on the adventure of outsourcing production to those countries that offered cultural value and unlimited possibilities for rug craftsmanship.

B-Line

The moulds had been scrapped: all that remained were the drawings or, at the most, some reject pieces. But since these were products like Joe Colombo’s Multichair or Rodolfo Bonetto’s 4/4, we couldn’t accept their loss. And so, B-LINE’s beginnings were dictated more by a gut feeling than a rational calculation: we wanted to restore splendour to objects that, because they were ingeniously simple and aesthetically interesting, were intrinsically precious. This was all happening in 1999. From then on, our ambitions regarding good designing came to fruition in the form of international collaborations and, besides the several items we consider heritage (see the item Boby), we manufacture furnishing products for the home, office and contract. The materials we use are plastic, steel, fabric and wood and we are extremely flexible where the technologies to be deployed are concerned. In this quest of ours for the perfect combination between versatility, originality and functionality, we involved both the creative genius of Karim Rashid as well as the Zen essentiality of Kazuhide Takahama or perhaps the inspiration of a newcomer at his debut: what absolutely counts for us is the quality of the design. Having singled that out, B-LINE’s team and the designers work hand in hand through to the selection of materials, covering all technical aspects, to turn out products entirely made in Italy.

Bent Hansen

DESIGN AND CRAFTSMANSHIP THROUGH 3 GENERATIONS At Bent Hansen we make it a point of honour that the quality of the craftsmanship and the materials shines through, and that our furniture expresses the simplicity and honesty that is forever in fashion. CEO and designer Henrik Hvid Hansen is the innovative force behind the company Bent Hansen. Surrounded by qualified craftsmen, he has the best opportunities to try out new ideas and test different kinds of leather and textiles. Through it’s 60 years of experience the company Bent Hansen has always considered solid workmanship of great importance. Back in 1948 Henrik Hvid Hansen’s grandfather, upholsterer Svend Hansen, founded the company. Back then the key competence was restoring old furniture. In 1967 Svend Hansen’s son, Bent Hansen, took over the company. He expanded the business and started manufacturing interior for restaurants, hotels and ships. In 1983 third generation, Henrik Hvid Hansen was ready to enter the family company. As an upholsterer like his father and grandfather before him and deeply fascinated by modern design Henrik has turned Bent Hansen into a modern design company with its own line of furniture design and home accessories.
