Lapalma

Lapalma’s success has been achieved step by step throughout the years. No overnight success stories here - just hard work and passion in equal measure. The company’s story begins in the 1980s, when founders the Marcato brothers decided to go into business on their own. Their initial idea developed rapidly and Lapalma was established soon after, showing from the outset a preference for natural, recyclable materials. Following investments in machinery, Lapalma took advantage of the availability of new materials to develop a wide range of products for the contract market, which quickly demonstrated the brand’s appeal, attracting buyers on major projects worldwide for hotels, shops, museums and airports.

ArcheToys

ArcheToys is of a collection of metal model cars, which are designed and produced by the industrial designer Floris Hovers. The idea developed from a design commission which Floris has put upon himself in order to find the answer to an important question keeping him occupied: Why do grown-ups still have the desire to play with toys?

Karimoku New Standard

We are Karimoku, manufacturer of wood furniture from central Japan with history of more than 70 years. Our tradition derives of a deep understanding of carpentry craftsmanship combined with cutting-edge technologies to build furniture of the highest possible quality. Collaborating with some of the most promising international design talents, we launched KARIMOKU NEW STANDARD in 2009, a growing collection of innovative, joyful and functional objects that suit the ways of urban living in the 21st century. Aiming to preserve and revitalize Japanese forests and resume a balance with local forest industry, our products are made using sustainable sourced Japanese hardwoods, such as maple, chestnut and oak-low-diameter trees that are often discarded or ending up as paper pulp. KARIMOKU NEW STANDARD pieces are made to bring lasting joy, true to the credo that a piece of furniture should last at least as long as the tree it was made from.

Louis Poulsen

In 1924, Poul Henningsen created his influential Paris lamp for Louis Poulsen, and the origin of how we still design to shape light can directly be traced back to his views on the dualities of design and light. Founded in 1874, Louis Poulsen is a Danish lighting manufacturer born out of the Scandinavian design tradition where form follows function. The function and design of our products are tailored to reflect and support the rhythm of natural light. Every detail in the design has a purpose. Every design starts and ends with light.
