Eva Solo creates exclusive, Danish-designed furnishing accessories and kitchenware characterised by aesthetic appeal, functionality and high quality. Tools which are a pleasure to look at, use and own.
The history of the company dates as far back as 1913, but the Eva brand had its major breakthrough in 1952 with a bread and meat slicing machine that went on to become a design classic. The first of many. Today, the products are divided into several collections which are marketed worldwide. But the essence is still the same: aesthetics, functionality and quality.
In 1944, Wilton Carlyle Dinges founded the Electrical Machine and Equipment Company (Emeco) in Hanover Pennsylvania utilizing the skills of local craftsman. During WWII the U.S government gave him a big assignment, make chairs that could withstand water, salt air and sailors. Make chairs lightweight and make them strong, build them for a lifetime. Aluminum was the obvious choice, engineered for practical purposes, designed by real people.
Ever since 1984, the Rosendahl Copenhagen brand has been associated with practical, clean-cut design at a reasonable price. Our design philosophy is to create design products that become accessible utility items not reserved for special occasions only. On the contrary, we want them to become an integral part of a more beautiful everyday life. This demands high quality at a sensible price
