Classicon has from its inception aspired not only to offer pieces by established figures such as Eileen Gray and Eckart Muthesius, but also to foster contemporary design and to present selected examples in its program. Naturally, the models chosen must display the kind of quality and advanced form that earns them the designation “classic”. That’s why ClassiCon is always open to new design ideas.
The brand Goods was founded in 1995, inspired by the human being’s ancient custom of gift-giving. Nowadays, our collection consists of prominent home accessories and small furniture by Dutch designers. These designers are both internationally acclaimed and young talents. We distribute the products as a Dutch Design label.
Goods initiates the development of new products, yet other times designers approach us with an idea or design. When the product and design fit into Goods’ collection, the design is made production ready in collaboration with the designer.
Products from Goods are widely available in international museums, such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Iceland Design Centre. Moreover, the collection is also sold internationally in design shops. Many of our products can be custom-made in small or large production runs, for example as small business presents.
Friends Olav van Lede and Boudewijn Roest founded JOKJOR in 2013. Their work spots and private life were definitely not across the street from one another, but every time they bumped into each other at trade fairs or other events, the day would end with drinks,
brainstorming about life, each other’s design ideas and art & design in general.
Olav worked in architecture & design publishing and in interior design, and Boudewijn worked in design, and art direction.
These fields merged to create a company focused on practical and well-thought aesthetic design.
