Carl Hansen & Søn Embrace E004 Chair
Designed by renowned Austrian design trio EOOS, Carl Hansen & Søn is expanding the Embrace Series to include tables and a new chair, making the versatile range ideal in offices, restaurants and private homes alike.
Carl Hansen & Søn continues the creative partnership with innovative design trio EOOS. After the success of the Embrace chairs, the line is now extended with a new dining chair and a range of stylish dining and lounge tables, heightening the flexibility and versatility of the collection.
Merging elegant aesthetics with a profound respect for Carl Hansen & Søn’s vast design heritage, the Embrace Series is intelligent and strong, with an almost floating expression. The new tables, made of solid wood and steel, have a distinctive, sculptural expression that provides optimal functionality, as the table legs have been pulled into the center to maximize legroom. With circular surfaces, the tables are designed to facilitate communication between people.
EOOS drew inspiration from the poetic dance of a kite in the sky and the result is light and expressive designs, with tabletops that seem to float atop a uniquely designed frame, enabling stability. Joining the range of tables is a new dining chair without armrests. With its visually light aesthetic, the chair has a dynamic expression that allows for freedom of movement.

EOOS
Established in Vienna, the EOOS trio is comprised by Gernot Bohmann, Harald Gründl and Martin Bergmann. Founded in a strong sense of modern aesthetics, EOOS operates in the fields of furniture and product design as well as shop design for clients such as Giorgio Armani, Adidas, Alessi, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and bulthaup. The design trio considers design a poetic discipline whose end result should always be able to accommodate the user's changing needs and desires. EOOS approaches the often-complex design challenges by analyzing past roots and contemporary context. Termed 'Poetical Analysis', EOOS' process focuses on myths, rituals and intuitive expressions, creating connections that go beyond immediate impressions.
