The Philippe Starck-designed Kartell® Louis and Lou Lou Ghost Chairs have been doing good business for the manufacturer since their launch in 2003 and 208 respectively, so we'll expect these 50th anniversary Barbie editions to fly off the shelves.
It's a classic, almost vintage chair shape, updated for the modern era with that clear polycarbonate finish. And now updated for 2009 with a transparent pink finish and an hand-illustrated Barbie image and logo that's certain to appeal to collectors.
The Louis is the adult version while the Lou Lou is for kids. Of course the number of chairs produced are severely limited in numbers.
