Lady Shy” table lamp by Giovanni Alessi Anghini with Gabriele Chiave.

This light source consisting of two transparent polycarbonate volumes, a cone and a hemisphere, creates a pleasant atmosphere in all domestic environments.

This Table lamp designed by Giovanni Alessi Anghini with Gabriele Chiave consists of two volumes, a semi-sphere that sits on a slightly elongated cone. “Lady Shy” is made from transparent polycarbonate, a material that gives this minimalist design an even greater degree of lightness and linearity.

The semi-sphere that constitutes the top of the lamp is open and has a light diffuser at its centre whose shape is reminiscent of the classic Edison light bulb.

The designers’ choice of name - “Lady Shy” - derives from this detail as the light source is at once visible and hidden, and is protected by the Lamp structure that resembles a skirt blowing in the wind. “Lady Shy” comes with a 5 Watt LED bulb, the equivalent of an incandescent light bulb of around 60 Watt.

LED technology makes it possible to combine intense lighting with a significant reduction in consumption, at the same time guaranteeing energy savings and excellent functionality both in terms of the lifetime and the quality of the light bulb.

The LED light in the lamp is long-lasting and cannot be replaced. The power cord, which is attached to the Lamp via a little hole at the base of the cone, is equipped with a light switch with dimmer. “Lady Shy” can be used as a reading lamp, placed on a table or bedside table, or as a lamp for lighting a room. Its plastic design made up of juxtaposed volumes makes it an eye-catching furniture accessory if placed on a surface or on the floor
