Mono dining chair, designed by Finnish designer Kasper Nyman. The Mono dining chair is the result of untraditional thinking. The main inspiration behind the design is to being able to fold wood like a sheet of paper, into a cone like shape.

Mono is made in the revolutionary wooden material, Grada, from UPM in Finland. The benefits of the Grada plywood, allows Mono to keep its challenging design clean and simple. The Mono dining chair is available in soap treated oak, matte clear lacquered oak and black stained oak.

About the designer: “I strive to challenge my self and the materials used, in order to create products that comprehends modern Scandinavian design and visual simplicity. My major focus in design is on material and construction and I base my products on a strong idea, identity, functionality and quality.”

Kasper Nyman

Born in Porvoo Finland in 1984. After graduating from Porvoo industrial art school I continued my studies in cabinetmaking and furniture design, now studying in Aalto University The School of Arts, Design and Architecture in the masters degree program in furniture design. In my work I strive to design products that are user friendly, contemporary and easy to approach.
