Busetti - Garuti - Redaelli

Fellow students at Milan’s European Design Institute, Manuela Busetti and Andrea Garuti became acquainted in 2003 while studying industrial design. They immediately started working together, taking part in competitions and designing for firms whose range went from taps to decorating and to ceramic sanitary ware. They were awarded important prizes (from the young designers section of the “XX Compasso d’Oro” ADI prize, to the Playing Design competition of Lissone, sponsored by Milan’s “La Triennale”) and took part in various events and exhibitions. In 2007, while Manuela and Andrea were working with a design studio in Milan, they met Matteo Redaelli, who also graduated from Milan’s European Design Institute. From this was born a new team. A common denominator linking the three designers, is the interest they share in studying the re-designing and abstracting of technologies and materials from their context, for the creation of original and inventive objects. In 2010, with an innovative coffee table, they went on to win the competition organised by Cristalplant e Zanotta.
