• A sheet of steel becomes form and decoration: Joy, like a jewel, a pleasure A new “joy” has been added to the Alessi catalogue.
• The fascinating play of reflections that first appeared on the “Joy n.1” Centrepiece produced in 2013 is back in a new project, the “Joy n.11” Basket. Objects that originated from the union between Claudia Raimondo’s research and Alessi’s focus on the “skin of the object”.
• The experience gained in the manufacturing of steel surfaces, even the most complex, has made it possible to create interesting projects and to consolidate a technologically sophisticated manufacturing process.“Joy n.11” is a Basket with embossed sides and an uneven, jagged rim.
• The irregular texture embellishes the object, which is reminiscent of the surfaces crafted by master silversmiths.
• Created through the cold-moulding of a steel plate, “Joy n.11” is smaller than the “Joy n.1” Centrepiece.
• The facets that create the particular texture of the object are proportionally resized to the small dimensions of this basket.
• “Joy n.11” is available in four versions: 18/10 stainless steel with a polished finish, coloured steel with epoxy varnish - “Milky White”  and “Super Black”  - and gold-plated steel .
• This final version, obtained by manually plating the surface in 24 carat gold, makes the basket highly precious, like a goldsmith’s little objet d’art.
• The colours, like in the designer’s other works, constitute an element of design and aesthetics, enhancing the quality of the uneven surface and the object’s expressive potential.
• To preserve the beautiful finish of the stainless steel coloured baskets, do not clean with abrasive detergents.
• The gold-plated steel version can be washed by hand and even in the dishwasher, thanks to its unique resilience created through the gilding process.
