Niklas Jakob

Niklas Jacob began his creative career as an artist in 1989 and led many expositions in smaller art galleries in Copenhagen between 1990 and 1992. Niklas Jacob studied Industrial Design at the „International College of Arts and Sciences“ and at the „Polytechnic“ in Milan.

Niklas Jacob worked together with the Design Group Italia for a short period in 1997 and then entered Momo Design in 1998 – both design agencies in Milan.

Niklas Jacob became chief designer of Momo Design in 1999. He then was responsible for the studio's management and for the development of projects for customers such as the Momo Group, the Momo Design brand, Nissan, Lexus, Lamborghini, Logitech, Polk Audio and much more.

In the middle of 2001, Niklas Jacob became part of the studio of the Japan designer Makio Hasuike in Milan, but decided to found an own design business one year after that. Niklas Jacob works with his own design team since 2003 and – always moving between Italy and Copenhagen - participated at design projects for companies in Europe and the USA.

Niklas Jacob founded the strategy design and branding company Fruithouse in 2005, based in Copenhagen. Niklas Jacob taught at the Architecture Faculty, Industrial Design department at the University Camerino in Ascoli Piceno.
